Calling on Construction Professionals

Thursday August 3, 2017      |      By: Alyce Menton

According to USA Today, Hurricane Harvey is expected to be the costliest natural disaster in U.S. history and is expected to cost well over $190 billion. This is equal to the combined cost of Hurricanes Katrina and Superstorm Sandy.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all that were affected by this storm either directly or indirectly. e-Builder has many clients and partners who have been directly impacted and we want you to know that we stand with you and are ready to help in any way we can.

There have been countless engineering and construction professionals already working day and night helping in relief efforts, rescuing survivors and lending a helping hand to those impacted by this unprecedented storm. We want to honor all those who have been helping with relief effort and call on the construction professionals that work with e-Builder to help. Whether you are in Texas or in other parts of the United States, here are just some of the ways you can help:

·       Donate to the American Red Cross or Give Blood

·       Donate to the The Salvation Army

·       Support the American Society of Civil Engineers relief efforts

·       Work through your local philanthropic or disaster relief organizations

·       Volunteer time through your employer to help those in need

The process of recovery will take many months and years. Clean-up efforts have begun and in time, the conversation will turn to rebuilding. For all of us who are construction professionals either in construction management or AEC technology, our expertise is greatly needed. Like many of you, e-Builder employees are finding ways to volunteer, send resources, give time and support local relief efforts.

Thank you for making yourselves available to those in need and supporting our communities both near and far.
